The Pfyn-Finges Nature Park offers a range of pruning courses. These courses provide an opportunity to learn the basics of pruning tall fruit trees. No prior knowledge is required.
You can register directly online on the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park website, under the relevant course.
Registration is compulsory and the number of participants is limited. Please bring weather-appropriate clothing. The courses take place outdoors.
Here is an overview of the various pruning courses on offer:
14 March 2026 from 09:00 to 13:00: 3-day series of pruning courses in German.
(The prerequisite is attendance at all three days of the course. The second day of classes will take place on 29 August 2026 and the third on 20 February 2027).
Number of participants is limited. Registration is necessary.

28 March 2026 from 09:00 to 13:00: fruit tree grafting course in German.
(Introduction to the main types of grafting. Passing on knowledge of the equipment needed and an overview of the basics of harvesting and storing scions. Independent grafting of two small apple trees using the "copulation" grafting method).
Number of participants is limited. Registration is necessary.

Different pruning courses for adults
Free of charge for residents of the Nature Park and members of the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park.
For all other participants: CHF 30.00 (per day and per course).
The park municipalities are: Agarn, Albinen, Crans-Montana, Gampel-Bratsch, Guttet-Feschel, Inden, Leuk, Leukerbad, Oberems, Salgesch, Sierre, Turtmann-Unterems, Varen.
