A young French composer, violinist and pianist, Elise Bertrand, nominated with her duo for the Victoires de la Musique Classique awards in the 2024 instrumental revelation category, impresses with her creative vigour, technique and expressiveness. The close-knit duo she has formed with Gaspard Thomas since their days at the Conservatoire shares a taste for original programmes and a common passion for chamber music.
