Lisette Oropesa, born in New Orleans to Cuban parents, sang her first major role, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, at the age of 22 at the Met in New York. Since then, she has become one of the most famous singers of her generation. During the 2025/26 season, she will perform in Salzburg, Munich, Verona, Berlin, New York, London, Madrid and Zurich, among other cities. She triumphs on the world's greatest stages thanks to her rounded tone and luminous high notes. For France Musique, which has dubbed her the queen of bel canto, she is now the ideal interpreter of this repertoire, having also made her mark in Verdi and the French repertoire. The programme includes arias by Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Meyerbeer, Mercadante and Verdi.
