The countdown is on for the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships

13 September 2022

In exactly three years, Valais will host the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, which will bring together seven mountain bike disciplines for the first time in history. Crans-Montana will have the honour of hosting the Cross-Country event.

On the morning of Tuesday 13 September, the event director presented the project at Sion Town Hall, in the company of Association members and the nine destinations that will host the event: Crans-Montana (Cross-Country), Dents du Midi Region (Downhill), Grächen (E-Bike), Leukerbad (Enduro), Verbier and the Val d'Anniviers (Marathon), Monthey (Pumptrack), Zermatt (Short Track) and Sion (opening ceremony and entertainment). Together, they then inaugurated a fresco representing the official logo of the 2025 World Championships in front of the Town Hall, each laying a symbolic paving stone.

Major bike events organised in Crans-Montana

For several years, Crans-Montana has been positioning itself as a prime bike destination. In preparation for the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, the destination organises major bike events, such as the Enduro World Series (the equivalent of the World Cup in the discipline) that will take place between 15 and 18 September 2022. In addition to the races (enduro and e-bike), the programme of competitions and events gave plenty of action and a friendly atmosphere, and all free of charge.
