It was first announced in November 2023, and the takeover has now been completed: Crans-Montana now officially joins Vail Resorts, one of the world's largest ski lift networks.
The acquisition, valued at CHF 118.5 million, includes 84% of shares of the ski lift company, Remontées Mécaniques Crans Montana Aminona (CMA) SA, as well as 100% of SportLife AG (the Giorgio Rocca ski school). In addition, the management of eleven restaurants in the ski area and in the resort also comes under the aegis of Vail Resorts, promising significant improvements in the gastronomic offering.
Led by Mike Goar, who has been appointed Regional Operations Director for Switzerland, and Pete Petrovski, the new General Manager of Crans-Montana's ski lifts, the resort is committed to investing around CHF 30 million over the next few years to improve the customer experience. These investments will focus on the efficiency of catering services and the expansion of snowmaking capacity, ensuring unforgettable stays for all visitors.

In addition, the integration of Crans-Montana into the Epic Pass will enrich the experience for pass holders, offering them unlimited and unrestricted access to the ski area, as well as benefits in other prestigious resorts around the world.
The Pass One (Crans-Montana's annual lift pass) valid from 1 July 2024 to 30 April 2025 is currently on presale at a fixed price until 31 May 2024.
