As the winter season draws to a close, we look back at a journey marked by emotion and achievement from our winter ambassadors. Day after day, they proudly showcased Crans-Montana on the world stage, bringing passion and dedication to every competition.
Luca Aerni once again demonstrated remarkable determination during his 12th season on the Alpine Skiing World Cup circuit. At the 2025 World Championships in Saalbach (Austria), he played a key role in the Team Parallel event, helping Switzerland secure the silver medal 🥈. Throughout the season, he competed in numerous slalom and giant slalom races, with a 4th place finish in Val d’Isère and 7th in Adelboden, ending 20th in the overall giant slalom standings for 2024/25.
With his sights set high, Luca is aiming to return to the slalom podium and prepare for the Crans-Montana 2027 World Championships, held on home snow. The 2026 Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina are also a major goal, where he is determined to represent Switzerland with pride and resolve.
This summer, as every year, Luca will return to Crans-Montana to train and prepare for the next season—and to enjoy everything the region has to offer. He recently shared his favourite summer spots in Crans-Montana during an interview.
Despite starting the season with a tibia injury, 17-year-old freestyle skier Aurélien Coubès made a strong comeback on the Opel Freeski Tour. He claimed gold 🥇 in Leysin, silver 🥈 in slopestyle at the Schilthorn, and finished 4th in the Glacier 3000 big air. He wrapped up the season ranked 3rd 🥉 nationally in slopestyle.
Next season, Aurélien aims to compete in the European Cup, with his ultimate goal being the World Cup circuit.
Beyond their individual successes, our ambassadors play an essential role in inspiring the next generation of athletes in Crans-Montana. Their passion for their sport and unwavering pursuit of excellence set an example for all—proving that even the boldest dreams are possible through dedication and effort. Their stories are a source of inspiration for young athletes and the wider community, reinforcing our collective drive for an active lifestyle and a deep connection to the mountain.
Now, we turn to summer and our ambassadors Jolanda Neff (mountain biking) and Tiffany Arafi (golf)!
