Give your team room to breathe this summer

30 April 2026

In summer, a company outing can quickly become a challenge: heat, fatigue, dipping energy and productivity. And yet, it’s often when teams most need to come together.

In Crans-Montana, in the heart of the Alps, the contrast is immediate. Temperatures are cooler, and days are spent outdoors from morning to evening. Teams keep up without feeling drained. What if the ideal group outing simply revolved around a walk by the water?

A natural setting that does the work

No need for complicated planning. The bisses, these gently sloping paths that follow historic irrigation channels, are accessible to all and perfect for walking together in the shade. But the idea goes beyond walking. It’s about making the stroll the common thread of a day outdoors, extended with a discovery, a tasting, a workshop or a shared meal, turning a simple walk into a real team experience.

From easy hikes and local food discoveries to gastronomic experiences and terrace moments, there’s something for everyone. The real advantage? These shared moments, often simple, are the ones that work best. No need to over-organise, the setting takes care of it. Here are a few ideas:

  • Local flavours walk: bisse du Tsittoret and a stop at Hameau de Colombire
One of the destination's most popular routes, this mountain trail suits both active walkers and those less used to hiking. Its accessible profile and open views make it ideal for groups. The experience continues at Hameau de Colombire with a regional meal overlooking the Alps: fondue, croûte au fromage, raclette or other Valais specialities depending on the season. You can also enrich the visit with a museum tour about life in the past or a cheese-making workshop.

  • Between water and wine: bisse du Sillonin and vineyard walk with tasting
Perfect for a team outing combining an easy walk, vineyard landscapes and regional wines. The route follows the water, then leads you through sunlit vineyards before ending with a tasting in one of the cellars in the wine village of Flanthey. The Château de Vaas can round off the day with its wine library, exhibition on cornalin, Valais' emblematic grape variety, and seminar room, combining business and discovery.

  • Thrills and views: bisse du Ro
For a more striking outing, this spectacular route connects Crans-Montana to the Tseuzier dam. It hugs the mountainside, offering impressive views and some striking passages, including a suspended footbridge. Afterwards, the day can continue over a meal, depending on the atmosphere you’re looking for: fine dining, a mountain restaurant, a panoramic terrace or a relaxed alpine lunch or dinner.

All of these are simple, flexible formats that create meaningful group moments without complexity.
