The World Raclette Championships crown Crans-Montana

Crans-Montana is proud of its artisans and its rich alpine heritage!

At the second edition of the World Raclette Championships, held from 24 to 26 October 2025, the Alpage de la Cave du Sex, located in Crans-Montana, was awarded the title of World Champion in the most prestigious category: alpine raclette cheese.

This distinction is a true tribute to the mountain know-how and passion of our local producers, who continue to uphold an authentic and living cheese-making tradition.

In total, the competition brought together 150 cheeses from 12 countries. Each product was carefully judged for its appearance, texture, overall impression, aroma and taste.
