Organising a family winter holiday can sometimes seem like quite a challenge, but in Crans-Montana, everything is designed to ensure that young and old alike can enjoy the snow to the max. Whether your children are three years old or ten, the destination offers activities suitable for everyone, from sliding around on the snow to magical shows, as well as more unusual experiences such as dog sledding.
Here's how to fill a week with unforgettable memories.
Crans-Montana offers a gentle start to exploring the snow, and with the Step One Pass, everything is made simple: from CHF 10 per day, beginners and children aged 3 and over can enjoy unlimited access to three iconic locations: Snow Island, the Arnouva snow kindergarten and the Ycoor ice rink.
Depending on your children's level and what they prefer, you can choose to start the day at either Snow Island or Arnouva.
Snow Island is located in the resort, on the snow-covered Severiano Ballesteros golf course, and is easily accessible on foot, without the need for ski lifts, making it perfect for families with young children. Gentle slopes, magic carpets, an airbag, bungee trampoline and a variety of games guarantee hours of laughs and first experiences in the snow.
For children who are already at ease on their first slopes, the next step is to head to Arnouva to use the Verdets button lift, which is also included in the Step One Pass. This button lift will take them to a real blue slope, which is ideal for progressing under supervision in a safe environment.
Another advantage is that you can easily organise the day so that one parent stays with a child at Arnouva while the other enjoys the slopes, and then you can swap over. This allows the whole family to enjoy the snow and the views.
If your children have already mastered skiing, then head for the ski area! Crans-Montana is great for families as children enjoy free access up to the age of 9, provided that the adult accompanying them has a valid pass. Children then benefit from the same pass as the paying adult (a parent or grandparent). It's a wonderful playground where you can improve your skills together while enjoying magnificent views of the Alps.
At the end of the day, if you fancy gliding along in a different way, head to the Ycoor Ice Rink in the heart of the resort, where children love the music and lights while they’re skating.

The Croc’Montagne Nursery : A moment for them… and for you !
Throughout your stay in Crans-Montana, the Croc’Montagne nursery for visitors welcomes children between 18 months and 6 years old, for half or full days. The nursery is themed around Bibi, the resort mascot, and offers indoor and outdoor games, entertainment and activities supervised by professionals. It’s the perfect occasion for kids to have fun together doing an activity of their choice, while parents also make the most of a moment to enjoy their own activities, with complete peace of mind.
After a gentle first day on the snow, your children might be looking for something different. Head to Alaïa Club in Lens, which has now been renovated and enhanced for winter 2025. It’s more open, more inclusive and more accessible, and the venue allows families, children, adults and those who are just curious to share moments of fun, exercise and encounters.
For the youngest children and families, the Kids Club has an indoor trampoline park and an arcade area, perfect for spending hours jumping, playing and exploring activities that are suitable for all ages. Thrill seekers can continue to enjoy the outdoor skatepark, which is free every Sunday this winter and spring, or try out the padel courts, which are available to book, for a unique and friendly activity for all generations.
Parents can accompany their little ones or simply enjoy the friendly atmosphere over a glass of wine or a hot drink. Alaïa Club turns this day into a complete experience of discovery and excitement, a combination of fun, sport and learning, with something for all tastes and abilities.

When the weather is unpredictable or you simply fancy some different activities, the Crans Montana Sports Center is THE ideal place for all ages. There's no room to be bored here: with indoor courts for padel, badminton, tennis, pickleball and table tennis, every family member will find their favourite activity here. For thrill seekers, the climbing wall awaits both budding and experienced climbers in a safe and supervised environment. With special routes suitable for children from 3 years old, even the very youngest can take on their first climbing challenges, cheered on by their parents. It's the perfect place to combine sport, fun and discovery, whatever the weather.
For quieter moments, head to the model train museum, which is fascinating whatever your age, where children will discover miniature landscapes, moving trains and stories that captivate young and old alike. And if you feel like relaxing, the Cinécran cinema shows the latest films in their original language with subtitles.
Finally, why not end the day with a trip to the bowling alley, where the whole family can play against each other in a friendly atmosphere? From physical activity, discoveries and moments of rest, this day shows that Crans-Montana knows how to combine sport, fun and culture for children of all ages.
When night falls, Crans-Montana is transformed into a magical setting. The Lantern Path, on the theme "A Midwinter Night's Dream" this year, invites all ages to immerse themselves in a magical world. This trail offers an enchanted journey into the heart of the forest, where artistic lightworks spark the imagination and delight the whole family.
With 179 sparkling lanterns along the way, the walk becomes a truly sensory journey: each turn reveals a work of art created by local and international designers. Light sculptures, interactive installations and soundscapes transform the forest into an open-air gallery. Children marvel at it, parents are captivated by the beauty of the place. A walk that is as much about experiencing as it is about contemplating.
To make the magic last even longer, the Lantern Path comes alive throughout the week with a special treasure hunt for children, while magical shows and live concerts take place on special Saturday evening events, transforming the forest into a truly enchanted world. An experience that combines art, nature and imagination, ideal for a winter evening with the family.

Today, we set off to discover some unusual activities. For children, there's nothing more endearing than a dog sled ride: they can watch the huskies run, play and frolic before setting off on the snowy trails. It's an experience full of laughter and discovery, have fun while there is also a chance to get close to the animals.
For a gentler and more original approach to the mountains, walks with yaks, goats or mules offer a different way to come into contact with nature. These outings allow you to immerse yourself in the forest and snowy trails at a leisurely pace, which is ideal for observing tracks in the snow and enjoying magical landscapes.
If your children love thrills, sledging is always a hit: rent a sledge at the Relais de Colombire, or head back to Snow Island. From downhill fun, laughs and wonder, this day offers the perfect combination of nature, discovery and adventure.
Tip: for a magical evening in the mountains, let the guides at the Hameau de Colombire take you on a snowshoe hike under the starry sky. This outing is not suitable for young children, but it will delight those who can walk in snowshoes. The outing includes a fun activity together before enjoying a traditional fondue, followed by a sledge ride back down the mountain for an unforgettable family experience.
