New bus stop names

6 November 2023

From 10 December 2023, when the new Swiss public transport timetable comes into force, a number of changes will make it easier for residents and visitors to Crans-Montana to get around.

«Crans-Montana» bus stops

In order to standardise the names of bus stops within the tourist zone, and to make it easier to find your destination in the timetable, every stop will now bear the name «Crans-Montana». Therefore the stops «Crans-s.-S., Sporting» and «Montana, Ycoor», will become  «Crans-Montana, Sporting» and «Crans-Montana, Ycoor».

A handful of stops will have a bigger name change. These are:

Until 09.12.2023 New name from 10.12.2023
Buche-Randogne (funi) → Bluche (funi)
Montana, Clinique Lucernoise → Crans-Montana, Lucernois
Montana, Grand Signal → Crans-Montana, télé Arnouva
Crans-S.Sierre, téléphérique → Crans-Montana, télé Cry d’Er
Montana, Violettes → Crans-Montana, télé Violettes
Montana, Pavillon → Crans-Montana, Lac Grenon
Crans-s.-Sierre, poste → Crans-Montana, Le Mèrignou

These changes will take effect on 10.12.2023 in the official timetables. The names on bus shelters will be gradually modified.

Line 431 Crans-Montana, Crans Forest – Aminona

The frequency of line 431 will increase during the winter season as usual. From 10.12.2023 until 07.04.2024, buses will run every 20 minutes between «Crans-Montana, Forest» and «Aminona».

Booking no longer required for bicycles

From 10.12.2023, it will no longer be necessary to reserve a space for bicycles on buses, as is already the case in the funicular.

Free shuttle buses

As was announced last year, the free shuttle bus service to and from the Crans-Montana tourist zone continues to run year-round to encourage soft mobility.
