On 12 March this year, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva closed its doors due to the pandemic. By no means resigned to the situation, its director Pascal Hufschmid identified within this major crisis an opportunity to fully express his perspective: a museum is more than a place, it is above all a citizens’ forum, which is open and benevolent. He will be presenting how, in under three months, and with a hugely reduced team and under great economic pressure, his museum has been able to develop major projects in Switzerland and worldwide…almost as if they had never closed.
