The route is 17.7 km long with a total height gain of almost 1,000 metres. The climb, in regular tiers, is at first made up of a series of hairpins in the vineyards. The route then passes close to the Sillonin Bisse and the Grand Bisse de Lens, before winding through meadows up to the village of Lens. A relatively flat section leads the cyclist through the village of Lens, and a short downhill leads to the Chermignon roundabout. The next part is a wonderful gently sloping road, passing by Montana Village. Before arriving in Bluche, there is one last flat section which leads to the last uphill to Crans-Montana.
