After climbing to the Crans-Montana pass, the route descends via the main Crans-Montana, Mollens and Venthône road, then by crossing little roads in the vineyards above Sierre. It runs along the hillside, briefly following the regional route n°72 «Chemin du Vignoble» before heading back up towards Lens. The viewpoints are exceptional in all seasons ! The long climb back up from Vaas, passing through Chelin and Flanthey to Crans-Montana, uses part of the « Steve Morabito Uphill» and crosses the mythical «Bisse du Sillonin» and «Grand Bisse de Lens» paths. All the power of the « Valais microclimate » can be seen in this route ; quite early in the season, the stone walls heat up the road, in summer you can hear crickets chirping and in autumn, the Indian summer means you?ll have a very special experience !
