The scythe is an ancient tool, quiet, efficient and environmentally friendly. In this course, you will learn the basics of scything: from adjusting the scythe correctly to maintaining the right posture and using the correct mowing technique. Whether for maintaining orchard meadows, species-rich flower meadows or your own garden, mowing with a scythe is a natural alternative to motorised equipment and, at the same time, a beneficial physical activity.
Free of charge for residents of the Nature Park and members of the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park.
For all other participants: CHF 30.00 (per day and per course).
The communes in the nature park are: Agarn, Albinen, Crans-Montana, Gampel-Bratsch, Guttet-Feschel, Inden, Leuk, Loèche-les-Bains, Oberems, Salgesch, Sierre, Turtmann-Unterems, Varone.
