Visit the heart of contemporary art in Crans-Montana

30 April 2025

Crans-Montana is a well-established cultural centre, but did you know that you can also see visual artwork by contemporary artists here? This is possible thanks to the many art galleries in the destination. You'll be able to explore a wide range of interesting artistic worlds while taking advantage of information provided by the gallery owners, who are ready to welcome you, no appointment is required.
If you’re tempted by this experience, here's a selection of art galleries in Crans-Montana.

Galerie 337, Place du Marché 4

You can see Galerie 337’s inner space from outside, and this and its « pop » art inevitably catches the eye of curious passers-by. The gallery opened in Crans-Montana in 2025, after opening in other locations in France and Switzerland. Primarily focused on promoting French artists, the gallery also features Swiss artists, whose works are varied and, above all, colourful. It's the perfect way to liven up a white wall with pizzazz and personality!

Galerie Platini, Rue Centrale 56

Recognisable by the large sculptures in front of the entrance, Galerie Platini is full of surprises. As you enter, you plunge into a world of shades which range from bronze to beige. This gallery also has two branches in France, and in Crans-Montana it offers Swiss exclusives using unique techniques. Working with chainsaws, layers of scratched paint, or a jumbled sculpture of recycled objects and parts, the result is strikingly creative and beautiful.

Gallery Caroline Dechamby, Rue du Grand-Place 12

You will be welcomed by the artist herself here! This is your chance to get to the heart of her creative process and her ‘pop art’. Caroline Dechamby is a well-known local artist, having exhibited here for over 30 years. Her approach is to pay tribute to famous artists while integrating her famous silhouette into the work that she is reproducing. It's a stroke of genius that has earned her a place in the contemporary art world as far afield as St Tropez and Miami.

Bel Air Fine Art Gallery, Rue du Prado 9

The Bel Air Fine Art galleries are renowned throughout the United States and Europe, with over 30 branches. Here you'll find artists whose work ranges from the classic to the subversive. A mix of genres and codes that make these two exhibition spaces a journey into contemporary art at its best. If you appreciate art that questions, sometimes disturbs or denounces, you shouldn’t miss this gallery in Crans-Montana.
