The village of Flanthey is made up of eight hamlets which are spread halfway between Lens and Granges, in the middle of flourishing vineyards. It is this environment that has enabled the village to become one of the wine capitals of Valais, and it is particularly well-known for its Cornalin wine. At an altitude of 750 metres, it is home to 12 wine cellars, for just 200 inhabitants.
