Am Stram Gram Festival

A festival for young and old, in the middle of summer

Next edition from July 9 to 12, 2026

Crans-Montana will transform into a dream playground for families for four days, between 10 and 13 July 2025. The Am Stram Gram festival, an open-air event especially for children, will take over the Ycoor gardens and transform them into a truly enchanted world.

Shows, workshops, laughter, discoveries... every corner will hold another surprise. And everything is completely free.

New features for 2025

For its 7th edition in 2025, Am Stram Gram renewed itself with energy and imagination!
After pirates in 2024, the theme in 2025 was "Sport & Fun", presented through a playful sports course:

«Crans-Montana 2025 – the Big Course for little athletes», is an entertaining circuit designed to get children moving while having fun.

Other new features include:

  • An enriched Awakenings area, with a programme tailored to toddlers between 2 and 5 years old, focusing on gentle sensory exploration.
  • A new funfair, designed for young children: gentle rides, games of skill, and even a silent party which you can access at any time for light-hearted dancing.
  • A shopping street in the "When I Grow Up" universe, where children can try out new professions and enjoy immersive experiences that are more realistic than ever.

"We want every child to feel free to explore, imagine, create and have fun. This festival is their world, and it’s tailored to them" say Auréa Viant and Oriane Willi, events managers at Crans-Montana Tourism & Congress

Seven worlds to explore, create and have fun

Am Stram Gram offered an immersive experience across seven themed worlds, each designed to stimulate creativity, movement, and the senses.
From workshops, free play areas to supervised activities, each space is an invitation to explore:

  • Aquatic: giant bubbles on the pond, mini pedalos and water games
  • Construction: building site, wooden creations, kite workshop
  • Awakenings (from 2 years old): clay, painting, sensory games, shows for toddlers
  • Funfair: gentle rides, games of skill, silent party, bungee trampoline
  • Yum: cooking workshops, biscuit decoration, smoothie bike
  • When I grow up: explore different professions, introduction to circus and a shopping street
  • Sport & Fun: circus shows, bubble football, climbing wall, « Crans-Montana 2025 – the Big Course for little athletes »,

An artistic programme to inspire wonder

Am Stram Gram also has an open-air main stage where live shows, music, dance, circus, theatre, clowning and interactive performances come together.
Every day, the audience can see original creations by some fifteen Swiss and international companies, combining poetry, humour and artistic prowess.

Eat, drink... and enjoy the atmosphere

At the heart of the festival, the catering area invites you to take a gourmet break and respect the planet at the same time. A varied selection of local and seasonal produce will delight foodies of all ages thanks to the presence of committed partners. Everything is designed for families to enjoy, and don't forget to stay hydrated with free Morand cordial stands.

With an eco-friendly approach, there will be:

  • Reusable tableware, using a deposit system
  • Zero single-use plastic
  • Short supply chains and waste recycling

Spirit of the festival

Am Stram Gram is part of Crans-Montana's family strategy, which promotes a wide range of activities for all ages, all year round.

In summer, thanks to the My Explorer Card, many activities are free in the destination: mini golf, pedalos, swimming pool and much more.

"We want Crans-Montana to be all about unforgettable family holidays, and the Am Stram Gram Festival is at the heart of this vision. By combining free activities and high-quality events, we are creating a friendly and lively destination." Bruno Huggler, director of Crans-Montana Tourism & Congress

Since its creation, Am Stram Gram has championed a joyful, inclusive and committed vision of culture for children. The festival emphasises creativity from an early age, freedom to play, and direct encounters with the performing arts. The festival is accessible to all families and 100% free, and aims to be an open, welcoming space without any social barriers.

Environmental commitment is also at the heart of the event: use of sustainable materials, short supply chains, waste reduction, zero single-use plastic... Every gesture counts when it comes to combining pleasure and responsibility.
