The Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club offers three top-quality courses, including the famous Severiano Ballesteros (18 hole) and Jack Nicklaus (9 hole). More than a century of tradition has forged the worldwide reputation of this prestigious club, which every year hosts the Omega European Masters, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the DP World Tour. In the midst of natural surroundings, the mountains soothe and inspire golfers, guaranteeing flawless accuracy and endless pleasure. The beauty of the 7th hole on the Ballesteros course in particular is an attraction for the world's best players.
The club also has an indoor centre which is open all year round, a Golf Academy for all levels and ages, with courses, introductory classes and lessons to help you progress at your own pace. For those preparing their handicap, two other courses are open to everyone, allowing you to perfect your swing and improve your game before playing on the Nicklaus and Ballesteros courses.
Over the past 13 years, the course has continually been improved, with notable renovations such as the greens on the 10th and 17th holes for the last edition of the OMEGA European Masters. These improvements, combined with recent infrastructure improvements, have raised the course to a new level of excellence.
In autumn 2024, work continues, with the complete renovation of the 8th hole, which will be ready for next spring. Hole 7 will then be completely rebuilt in the autumn of 2025, thus completing the almost entire renovation of the course, with the exception of the 18th hole.
At the same time, the 9-hole Jack Nicklaus course is currently being completely transformed over four years to raise its standards to match the Ballesteros championship course. The first phase of this modernisation has already begun, with the renovation of the 5th hole already underway.
