A superb second place for our ambassador Luca Aerni

15 December 2025

What an outstanding race!
On Saturday, 13 December 2025, the Swiss team delivered a remarkable clean sweep, claiming all three podium places in the giant slalom in Val d'Isère, France. At the heart of this historic treble, our ambassador Luca Aerni secured an excellent second place.

Lying 13th after the first run, Luca produced a brilliant second run to stage a spectacular comeback, finishing between Loïc Meillard, who took victory on the day, and Marco Odermatt in third.

Originally a slalom specialist, the discipline in which he built his technical foundations, Luca Aerni is now confirming his steady progress in giant slalom. After finishing fourth in Val d'Isère last season, this weekend's performance rewards his dedication and opens the door to the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina in February 2026.

Congratulations to Luca on this fantastic achievement. Crans-Montana is proud to support him and wishes him every success for the rest of the season.
