Wines from the Crans-Montana region have once again made their mark at Switzerland's leading wine competitions. In 2026, the wineries on the Haut-Plateau picked up numerous awards at both the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse and the Sélection des Vins du Valais, confirming the quality and diversity of local wine production.

At the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse 2026, 17 wines from Haut-Plateau wineries received awards, including 7 gold and 10 silver medals. Among them, Cave La Romaine's Pinot Noir Castel d'Uvrier 2025 also stood out as one of six Pinot Noirs nominated for the national title in its category. The final result will be announced on 23 October 2026.

The Sélection des Vins du Valais 2026 added another impressive set of results, with 11 gold and 5 silver medals awarded to wines from the region's wineries.

Two wines performed particularly well, earning medals in both competitions: Cave La Romaine's Cornalin Les Empereurs 2025 took gold in both, while Cave Le Tambourin's Cuvée Lui 2024 won silver at the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse and gold at the Sélection des Vins du Valais.

The results also showcase the diversity of grape varieties grown in the region, from Cornalin and Petite Arvine to Humagne, Syrah, Heida, Johannisberg and Pinot Noir.
