Up there, facing a garland of majestic Alpine peaks stretching from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc, a 360° view awaits you. The flat plateau is up to 200 metres thick in certain places, and the waters flow mostly into the Lenk in the Bernese Oberland, as well as into the Rhone Valley on the Valais side.
Immerse yourself in another time as you follow a path marked by cairns (structures of stacked stones) as you explore part of the Plaine Morte summit before adding your own stone to the cairn forest at the end of the route.
