Luca Aerni grew up in Crans-Montana, spending his childhood on the ski slopes and when he was 14, swapped football for skiing. Demonstrating determination and passion, he rose through the ranks to join the Swiss ski team and quickly established himself on the World Cup circuit.
His talent and dedication earned him the title of World Combined Champion in 2017 - a milestone that cemented his status as one of Switzerland's top skiers.
After a few difficult seasons, he fought his way back to the top and played a key role in Switzerland's silver medal in the Mixed Parallel event at the 2025 World Championships.
My goal is never ‘I want to finish on the podium’, I want to improve my technique so that I can fight for the podium in every race!
These days he’s set himself some ambitious new goals: he wants to do well in the slalom, get back on the podium and prepare for the 2027 World Championships, where he hopes to add to his list of achievements.
The 2026 Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina are also in his sights – in this unmissable event, he’s determined to represent Switzerland with pride and determination.
Golf, and any sport that allows me to be in nature and spend time with my family and friends :-)
